Well I got to meet Jarrett J. Krosoczka IN PERSON!
So we walked in and bought a 2-in-1 which had the first 2 Lunch Lady books in it, Then I sat down and talked to a kid about a vast number of things (not the weather like parents do LOL) like what town we lived in, how we found out about this event (I found out from Stone Harbor / Avalon’s newspaper, 7 Mile Times when I was flipping through I saw some characters I recognized and read that he was coming to Avalon Free Public Library. When the other guy I was talking to was borrowing one of Jarrett J. Krosoczka’s books from the library, the librarian told him) and other stuff. Then the presentation started and Jarrett J. Krosoczka talked about how a comic when he was in 3rd or 4th grade turned into a fully published comic.
After the presentation, we lined up so Jarrett J. Krosoczka could sign my books (also, an old lady came up to us and talked about her old job as a lunch lady, then showed us a book about a cooking contest – I think – at her school). He had trading cards, so being me, I took two (he said to take as many as we wanted).
I also took a picture with him. It was cool.
