So guys, I am sorry I have not been posting. I haven’t had time to in a while.
Anyways…
Today I went to Bombay Hook. It was fun. First, we stopped at the visitors center and since it was their 88th anniversary I got my new pet named Goosly! Then, we got back into the car and drove out to the (what I call) The Raymond Pool Circle!
In the Raymond Pool Circle, We first got out and saw the Raymond Tower Trail ( I did not get any pictures 😟)
Then, about a half mile later, we got out to go on the boardwalk trail, this was my favorite part. As the name suggests, we got on and off quite a few boardwalks. That was the best part.
Then we completely skipped a tower trail and went to the 🐻 Swamp 🎱 (Bear Swamp Pool) and went on the 🐻swamp trail (Bear Swamp Trail) and then we saw a man who was photographing wildlife (I do not know why) who also was a tip teller and told us about some swans he was photographing (that’s why!) so we saw the swans and went up a tower. Then on the way back down from the tower the Tip teller told us that there were red foxes (we never saw any though).
We also noticed that the signs around each of the trail entrances say the kinds of animals you might find on that trail. That was a nice thing.
Finally, we headed over to the Allie 🏡(Allie House), but it was closed off so we left.
The part I enjoyed the most was the Boardwalk Trail because it was going through the wetlands. I also enjoyed getting to check off the birds I found on the refuge checklist. I found 8 out of 278 different ones!
It does cost a little bit of money to get in, but I really think it is worth it. You should visit if you’re in Delaware!
